"so going to this. now... to find a clyde to bring :)" - Stacie A
You have to understand the way I am, Mein Herr.
A tiger is a tiger - not a lamb, Mein Herr.
You'll never turn the vinegar to jam, Mein Herr.
So I do, what I do...
When I'm through, then I'm through...
And I'm through. Toodle-loo!
Bye-Bye, Mein Lieber Herr.

Liza Minnelli's performance in the Oscar-winning musical "Cabaret" is a great example of the cabaret style of entertainment: humorous, sexy, and fun.

What is a Cabaret?

Cabaret is a style of variety entertainment, typically including music, dance, comedy, and short theatrical pieces. It was an immensely popular form of entertainment throughout the 19th century, sometimes featuring circus acts along with the more common musical and dance numbers.

The style is named after the venue, which is similar to a nightclub, in which this performance would take place. Cabaret began in France around the turn of the 19th century, later flourishing in Germany and the United States. Some famous cabarets in France included the Chat Noir, the Moulin Rouge, and the Folies-Bergère. Elaborate costumes and stunning showgirls became staples of the genre, and performers such as Maurice Chevalier and Josephine Baker made their names in the cabaret business.

Bass Cabaret is a new concept which blends the old-world charm of a traditional cabaret with a more modern taste in music. We maintain many of the elements of a true cabaret (nightclub setting, elaborately costumed performers, highly-visual variety acts) while appealing to an entireley different, hip audience.
